Some people just need to be busy. Sitting around looking at the sunset doesn’t feel right.
Graeme Clark is one of those individuals. Each year he continues to stretch his horizons with new music and performances that aim to cut through the bluster and bring his songs and stories to the people.
This year is no different. After bringing 3 shows to the west coast of Scotland, including a successful hometown Clydebank gig in the historic Town hall, Graeme is taking his collection of thoughts and songs to a wider audience around the UK.
Starting off in Kent, travelling through Bristol, Wolverhampton, York , Liverpool, East Kilbride and then finishing on the Isle of Skye the shows are taking him to fans that have been waiting for his return.
Graeme affirms, “It’s always nice to go out and play, but touring gives a consistency to the performance of the songs”. Going out, under the lights holds a lot of value to the GC mindset. “How can you not love grabbing the guitar and a suitcase then stretch your legs on the roads of GB? I’ve toured solo before and it’s always a thrill to visit and play venues I’ve never played before”.
On the road with Graeme is Fiona Cuthill - his accompanying fiddle player. Fiona has been a presence onstage with GC over last few years, augmenting his solo acoustic with a beautiful and almost lyrical tone. “Don't be deceived by, nor take light this piece of musicianship simply defined as fiddle” he muses.
As the main songwriter for Wet Wet Wet penning such songs as number one hit Goodnight Girl Graeme is looking forward to visiting Tenterden and hopes you can join him for a night of acoustic music and the sharing of some stories gathered throughout his career.
